A Cornerstone of a Successful Community - MUSD featured in Impact Marana program

Public K-12 education offered through Marana Unified School District was highlighted as a cornerstone of a successful community through the Marana Chamber of Commerce Impact Marana program.

MUSD hosted this year’s cohort of local leaders from the Impact Marana program, a community-based immersive leadership program that provides first-hand insight into the diverse industries and organizations shaping the region. The cohort visited MUSD as part of the Education and Workforce Development Day.

MUSD schools were highlighted and explored during the day-long program where they visited Tangerine Farms K-8, Marana High School, and Marana Vista Academy. Guests learned about early childhood education and the importance of learning to read, middle school math program successes, high school Career and Tech Ed (CTE) classes, and more. They even participated in our district-wide literacy efforts, reading to some of our youngest readers! MUSD leaders and educators shared the vital role that quality education plays in Marana’s continued growth and innovation.

It was an educational and fun day, and we are proud to be a part of this local leadership program!
